Born in Canada, and raised in California, (talk about culture shock!) I immigrated to Oregon in the early 1990’s. I’ve lived in Portland since 1994, and cannot imagine living anywhere else. I am actively involved in the performing arts community and my son attends Buckman Elementary, a Portland public school.
To me, The Rose City incorporates the most positive aspects of the other major metropolitan areas I have lived in across North America: Perfect climate, friendly citizens, vibrant arts, amazing culture, a strong sense of community, and a rich history. Portland has so much to offer, rain or shine. The Oregon Zoo, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and Ground Kontrol are a few of our favorite places. Did I mention Portland is Hawky-town? My son and I are avid hockey fans and attend Portland WinterHawks games regularly.
Prior to coming to work for Roots Realty in 2005, I was a manager for a modest sized national alternative retailer, and more recently, served as an operations manager for a local wine distributor. I first met Michele when she helped me buy my first home back in 1999, then later in 2002/2003 Mark was my buyer’s agent for the home I currently own in the Brentwood/Darlington neighborhood.
It may sound cliché, but it’s true, you will know the perfect house when you find it. I am convinced there is some kind of emotional or spiritual bond we experience when we find the perfect house. I recall after almost three months of searching, walking into my perfect house and being completely overwhelmed by the feeling of being home. I want you to experience that feeling, and I can help. My goal is to assist you find a home you will be happy with and enjoy for many years to come. After all it’s going to be your home, not mine. (Yes! The process really is all about you)
