I’ve been a licensed Realtor since 1995 and worked for three different Real Estate Companies during that time. In the fall of 2003, Mark Wheeler and I opened our own Brokerage, Roots Realty. My focus through all the years has been in Portland’s close in neighborhoods, with an emphasis on older homes. What has always been most important to me is assisting folks in achieving their goals. I’ve helped 1st time buyers, growing families, artists expanding their creative spaces, investors looking for business potential and retirees downsizing their space.
Portland’s sustainability is very important to me. One of the best aspects of being a Realtor is networking with my clients, sharing ideas and skills; bringing people together. I’ve worked with a variety of people from artists, single parents, police officers, lawyers, gardeners, designers, bankers, teachers and politicians and so many more! I believe growing up in California in a city with open-minded family and friends enabled me to recognize the beauty of diversity at a young age. I am a firm believer in counseling and education for my clients. The more my clients understand the process and the decisions they get to make, the smoother the whole transaction will be. I far prefer this to simply selling a house to someone I do not know and never hearing from them again. The energy I give to the transaction has given me the gift of a referral business, for which I am grateful.
My time away from real estate is spent dancing with The Gypsy Caravan, teaching Tribal Belly Dance at Caravan Studio, and directing our student dance troupe Urban Berbers, gardening, reading, mushroom collecting, playing with our 3 cats and concocting potions in the kitchen. I love being a daughter, a sister, an Aunt, a friend.
